Corporate Real Estate Advisors Share Impact and Expectations on Market Fundamentals and Decision-Making

(Somerset, New Jersey): Real Estate Strategies Corporation, the New Jersey based corporate real estate advisory and transaction services firm announced today that its CEO and the Host of CFO Studio, Andrew Zezas, SIOR and Greg Libertiny, CPA, CFF, ABV presented a one hour professional development session to a group of diverse, senior financial executives.  The presentation, entitled “Hang On…It’s Going to be a Wild Ride!” was one of three back-to-back presentations to finance executives.  Other presenters included executives from Solomon Edwards group and TD bank.  The event, sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of Financial Executives International, was held on Feb 1^st, at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, New Jersey.

Mr. Zezas said “Corporate real estate fundamentals can be very confusing, even for very sophisticated executives.  This is especially true, given the recent economic challenges experienced by companies and commercial landlords worldwide.”  He added “Add to that, proposed changes in lease accounting as a means of converging GAAP and IFRS, and the corporate CFO has his or her hands full!”  Greg Libertiny, an executive at Real Estate Strategies Corporation and a co-presenter offered “that the lease accounting changes jointly proposed by the IASB and FASB are among the most sweeping changes we’ve seen in years.  Those finance executives who don’t fully understand its impact on reporting and financial statement presentation, banking agreements, and commercial leases of all kinds, will be unable to properly protect their companies’ interests.”
