Bio:Ed Imparato joined United Water, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, in 1987 and advanced to positions of increasing responsibility including manager of corporate accounting, director of financial planning, corporate controller, treasurer, and vice president and general manager of United Water’s regulated operations in the New York Division. Before joining United Water, he worked as an analyst in a publishing firm.Imparato serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Water Companies – New York chapter. He also serves on the finance committee of the National Association of Water Companies.Active in higher education, Imparato is a member of the accounting advisory committee for Bergen Community College. He is also on the board of trustees of Dominican College where he serves as chair of the fiscal committee and as a member of the audit committee. Imparato is also a guest lecturer at New York University. In addition, he is a member of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. Imparato holds an M.B.A in finance from Iona College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York (CUNY) with a B.S. in accounting. Imparato also holds an A.A.S. in computer science from CUNY. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. In 2010 NJBIZ named Imparato “CFO of the Year” for private companies.
