Excerpt: Mike Kahrer, Human Resources Executive, tells Andrew Zezas on CFO Studio that up to 60% of high profile employees are so dissatisfied that they will likely quit as soon as they get the chance.Bio: Michael T. Kahrer is a Human Resources executive with 25 years experience, primarily in the life sciences industry with Organon Biosciences and Schering-Plough. His experience also covers stints in the insurance, non-profit, government and financial management industries.His broad HR experience includes over 10 years responsibility directing all HR functions and serving as a member of Organon USA’s executive leadership team. As an ELT member, Mike also managed such diverse functions as communications, procurement, facilities and other business services. Mike also served as a member of the Global HR Leadership teams of Organon Biosciences and Schering-Plough. Mike oversaw the design of strategic HR programs in talent planning, acquisition and development, compensation, employee benefits, learning, succession and retention. His staff has been recognized as earning the designation of “business partner” and he’s received recognition for best practices from HR, business and professional organizations. Mike is a graduate of Saint Peter’s College with a BS in Business Management and Upsala College with a MS in Human Resources Management. A life-long learner, he has also earned the following professional designations: Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Certified Compensation Professional, Senior Professional in Human Resources and Certified Professional Coach. Outside of work, Mike serves in a number of volunteer capacities and sits of the board of a transitional housing center for homeless, pregnant women and is a regent at Saint Peter’s College. A resident of Cranford, NJ, Mike is married and has two children.
