Program Content/Course Description:
Consulting with companies of many sizes, we see the obvious trend that Defined Contribution plans are the primary means an employee can prepare for retirement. With the gradual disappearance of Defined Benefit participation, many employees have not developed the habit of thinking about their retirement the way pensions do – as an obligation to be met by understanding and implementing the concept of “funded ratio” and then planning accordingly in choosing post-retirement income vehicles.
The temptation for many clients is to focus entirely on yield-oriented investment products, or entirely on guaranteed products (annuities, CDs, etc.). CFOs and fiduciaries can help employees better prepare for longer lives as they depart companies at the end of their careers.
Moderator, Bill Craig, CEO and CFO of Tarantin Industries, will launch CFO Studio’s Small Company Track. CFOs attending this session will be the first to receive invitations to attend future Small Business Track executive Dinners.
