SUBMITTING A BUSINESS ARTICLE TO CFO STUDIO MAGAZINE
CFO Studio magazine accepts original written articles of up to 500 words from CFOs and other finance executives on topics of interest to CFO Studio’s readers. Submitted articles may not be advertisements or solicitations, in whole or in part. All articles submitted are subject to review, may be accepted or rejected, and may be published at future dates, as determined by and in the sole discretion of CFO Studio magazine.
CFO Studio magazine invites companies interested in submitting advertising content to contact the Magazine’s advertising sales representatives.
There exist many approaches to writing business articles. Style, form, and content are all important factors when seeking to convey information, a story, a point of view, or otherwise. Of course, accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness play an important role in the quality of written works.
Below is one recommended format that CFO writers may wish to follow when developing articles for submittal to CFO Studio magazine.
- State a problem or challenge
- State your recommended solution
- Describe your approach to achieving the solution
- Describe expected or possible obstacles in achieving the solution
- Describe alternative solutions
- Prove your recommended solution or the approach to achieving it with a brief case study describing problem, steps taken, obstacles overcome, and outcomes
- Draw a conclusion
Note that other formats may make for interesting writing, subject to topic pertinence or otherwise. All articles submitted are subject to review, and may be accepted or rejected in the sole discretion of CFO Studio magazine.

Why write an article for CFO Studio?

- Your original article (in Microsoft Word or Plain Text format, 12 Point Times New Roman text)
- Your author’s profile (up to 50 words about you and your business background)
- Your digital head shot photograph – If you don’t have a photo and we select your article for publication, we’ll take your head shot for you
- A completed CFO Studio Author’s Release,
Submission Guidelines
1. The Article & Professional Profile
Article Length – 500 words
Author’s Profile – Include your name, company, title, short description of your expertise, telephone, email address, website and social network links
Article Content – Articles may include opinions, trend and situation analyses, commentary, educational and informational perspectives, written from the CFO’s perspective. Articles should include relevant up-to-date market information. While it is our hope that articles will generate interest by readers in the authors, their companies, and their services or products, we cannot articles that are written as advertisements of their products or services.
There exist many approaches to writing business articles. Style, form, and content are all important factors when seeking to convey information, a story, a point of view, or otherwise. Of course, accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness play an important role in the quality of the written word.
Editing and Grammar – Articles of a technical nature will be reviewed and edited by our content advisory committee comprised of CFOs, accountants, and other professional thought-leaders. All articles will be reviewed and may be edited to improve grammar, punctuation, and style.
Facts, Figures, Quotes, and Sources – Be certain to provide appropriate credits and attribution to information sources.
Headings – Draw attention to topic areas by the effective use of headings
Style – Write your article in the third person, instead of the first person
