Howard Reba, Senior Finance Leader & CFO discusses “The Key to a Successful M&A Deal”Howard Reba has over 20 years of finance experience helping companies achieve their goals.  He is referred to as the “go-to-guy” amongst his colleagues for his willingness and ability to tackle any challenge and get the job done.Most recently, Howard served as CFO at technology services leader Tradeware Global, where he was responsible for the oversight of the Accounting and Finance functions, as well as promoting continuous improvement in operating efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.  He ultimately executed the successful exit for the founder and private equity investors by selling the company to SS&C Technologies, where he integrated four business units, included an acquisition he spearheaded.

Prior to this, Howard was the SVP Finance supporting the commercial businesses at CIT.  In addition to championing world class practices across all of Finance, he developed and led a central planning, reporting and financial systems shared services team.  He launched the financial process to manage over $100 million of expense reductions and expedited the divestiture of a large non-core business unit.

Howard joined IBM Business Consulting Services as part of its acquisition of PwC Consulting.  As a Managing Consultant, Howard executed finance operation improvement and strategy engagements for small domestic through global 50 clients.

Earlier in his career, Howard was the VP Finance and Controller at Research Partners, a regional broker dealer and investment banking firm.  In this capacity, he accomplished a $16 million IPO, headed a $5 million corporate headquarters relocation initiative, vetted 8 acquisition candidates, and consummated 3 acquisitions, which he subsequently integrated.

Howard began his career as an Associate at JP Morgan, and a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Whinney.

Howard holds a M.B.A. in Finance and Management from New York University and a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University.  He is an active C.P.A. in New York.
